‘The Last Haast Eagle’ 2021

A look back to 600 years ago, this painting depicts that fleeting moment in a dramatic Fiordland sunset that the tremendous Haast Eagle was last seen by man, letting out its final cry as it disappeared into the mist of the clearing storm.
